Dijon is the capital of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté in the eastern central part of France. It is a well-known cultural destination and it is officially recognised as the «city of art and history». Dijon is a food and wine capital, and famous for its culinary specialties which include mustard, snails, crème de cassis, chocolate, and gingerbread. It offers visitors an entirely vehicle-free town centre, whereby 1200 boutiques stay open seven days a week!
